What a weekend for women's longboarding!

Mamala's own Jen Smith claimed her third Queen of the Point Malibu Pro Championship, leading an unforgettable all-Mamala rider final.

The championship heat featured four Mamala team riders: Jen Smith, Cash Hoover, Luella Pace, and Star Delia. It was an incredible showcase of women's longboarding from start to finish.

Cash Hoover kept the pressure on until the final horn, finishing just 0.27 points behind Jen in a nail-biting second place. Luella Pace earned third, with Star Delia finishing fourth, making it a clean sweep for Team Mamala.

For 30 minutes, Malibu's iconic point was filled with stylish nose rides, flowing turns, and the kind of surfing that reminds us why women's longboarding continues to reach new heights. Watching four Mamala riders battle it out in the final was something truly special.

More Than a Surf Contest

If you've never experienced Queen of the Point in Malibu, put it on your calendar for next year. Queen of the Point has become one of the premier women's longboard events in the United States, attracting professional and amateur surfers while celebrating women's longboarding and creating opportunities for the next generation of competitors.

Founder Carla Zamora has created far more than a surf contest, she's built a celebration of women's surfing. From the welcoming vibes on the beach to the incredible level of competition, Queen of the Point is one of the highlights of the women's longboarding calendar.

As Queen of the Point explains:

"The need for exclusive women's surf competitions stems not from exclusion but from the desire to claim our rightful space in surfing. Queen of the Point stands against the notion that women should step aside for men to catch the 'good waves.' We advocate for equal opportunities and platforms where women surfers can showcase their talents and compete at the highest levels."

The final stop of the 2026 Queen of the Point series heads to Ventura, September 25–27, where another incredible weekend of women's longboarding awaits.

Congratulations to Jen, Cash, Luella, Star, Carla, and every competitor who made this year's Malibu event one to remember. We couldn't be prouder to see Team Mamala representing women's surfing at its very best.

"Watching all four finalists wearing Mamala was incredibly special. These women push our wetsuits every day, and seeing them share the podium was unforgettable." -Angela Horacek, Mamala Surf Wetsuits Founder
