Cash Hoover Scores In Utah

Cash Hoover takes the win, 2nd year in a row for the nose riding division, in the Chris Ruddy Invitational on a perfect emerald green wave in Sand Hollow Reservoir in Southern Utah. 

The Chris Ruddy Invitational is is the first of its kind event, started in 2025, with a mission to bring the best surfers from all over the world to surf the crystal clear waters of Sand Hollow in Southern Utah. 

The event centers on perfect endless waves, and longboard surfing by the best from the coast, the islands, and beyond. Action packed expression sessions with winners based on live votes from all attendees during the award ceremony.

MB is the official Wave Boat of the event and it’s 350 horsepower delivers serious performance. With 404 lb-ft of torque it powers through a massive 3750-4500 lbs of ballast creating the consistent, long-rolling waves essential for high-performance long boarding.

This unique, landlocked surfing competition gathers world-class longboarders to compete behind these boats rather than in the ocean, blending the authentic longboard soul with a lake setting for the ultimate desert surfing experience.
